teaching Thomas W. Hutchison received his Ph.D. in Marketing/Mass Communication from Florida State University. His expertise is in the areas of entertainment marketing, consumer behavior, Internet marketing and market research. Hutchison teaches in the Department of Recording Industry at Middle Tennessee State University where he is the coordinator of the music business internship program. He is currently developing an executive music business bachelors program. Hutchison also teaches SOA 312, The Business of Music at The New England School of Communications in Bangor, Maine. |

Hutchison has also implemented marketing projects for record labels RCA, EMI Christian, Columbia, Epic, Pioneer, Magnatone, Virgin, Sparrow, Compass, Mercury, Provident, Compendia, Universal...and more. |

music Hutchison is a veteran musician/bass player and has performed onstage with John Kurzweg (producer of Creed), members of The Allman Brothers, The Drifters, Billy Dean, Ray Charles...and more. He was a member of The 8 of Us, The Tallahassee Band, The Rainbow Band, Hutch n' Hoss and Hutch & Brand. He has also performed with former students Erin Enderlin and the Karg Brothers. other hobbies Sea kayaking, hiking, whitewater canoeing, photography, mountain biking, travel, home renovations. |
